    • Minimal OS level dependencies

    • Better recovery from install/upgrade issues.

    • Enhanced service and configuration management.

    • Supports multi-cluster deployments.

  • Unravel User Interface (UI)

The Unravel user interface is completely redesigned and reorganized for ease in navigation. Multi-cluster support is added, which extends to all the pages in the new user interface. The following are the highlighted features of the new UI:

  • Multi-cluster support for on-prem clusters

The Multi-Cluster feature allows a single Unravel installation to monitor multiple independent on-prem clusters (CDH and HDP only).

  • Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana

Unravel supports metrics and graphically represents the KPI information for Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana from the Unravel UI.

Unsupported

  • Unravel does not support multi-cluster management of combined on-prem and cloud clusters.

  • Does not support apps belonging to the same pipeline but is sourced from different clusters, in a multi-cluster environment. A pipeline can only contain apps that belong to the same cluster.

Hive on Spark is not supported.

  • Missing table and column statistics events.

The following reports are not supported in v4.6.2.0:

  • Cluster Summary

  • Cluster Compare

  • Executive KPI

  • Migration Planning is not supported for the following regions for Azure Data Lake:

    • US DoD East

    • US DoD Central

    • Germany Central (Sovereign)

    • Germany Northeast (Sovereign)

  • Forecasting and Migration reports: In a multi-cluster environment, only a single cluster can be configured at a time hence reports are generated only for that single cluster.

The Applications > Sessions page is not supported in Unravel version v4.6.2.0.

The signup feature is not enabled in Unravel version v4.6.2.0.

  • Pig and Cascading applications are not supported.
